OK, neck is on, all looking good - beginning to look like a bass guitar now ! Just started shielding the cavities now before I start the assembly and wiring.

Well guys, let me introduce you to Betsy.
Since last message, pockets, scratchplate jack socket shielded, pickups finished and wiring completed, strings fitted. Left it overnight, retightened strings, left again. Intonation sorted, going to see a guitar tech mate to get the final action sorted, but actually plays pretty well as it is. The neck is just about flat at the moment, but I think the nut needs a bit shaving off as the action is a bit too high at the first fret. Other than that very pleased with my first attempt, very happy with the finish - there are one or two blemishes where I've messed up a bit, but is was a learning process all the way through.
