Well I downloaded the free version.
At this point I am a little underwhelmed. The dude in the video seems excited and seems to have an idea. I guess it must be similar to his beloved apple software.
Me? I am finding it extremely non-intuitive.
Nothing seems to be where it should be and nothing operates in the manner it should.
Now, old mate has a whinge about Audacity, but at least the UI (UX) makes sense. I guess I'm just not a clicky tile sort of guy - I use win8 in desktop mode with a classic start menu, so the Surface/Android/iThing tablet design leaves me cold and makes it hard to find stuff. WTF is wrong with a menu bar with drop-downs? Clicking different icons, placed in seemingly random locations is a turn off.
It sort of works however the instrument/drums supplied are (obviously) limited. Lots of "Buy Now" pop ups when you click things, again this is their sales model but FFS just grey the tool out rather than using nag screens.
Layout 3/10
Usability 2/10 (Yes it is the free one so I wasn't expecting a full studio).
Annoyance Quotient 9/10
