Nice one Nitro come up nicely and nice back drop the SS. Think the left overs are string retainers for the headstock for D G B E strings which may be where your logo is. I'd say check your capacitor wiring and the bassy sound would be your SD pups I guess

Thanks wokka. I put the string retainers on, the parts left over are a split pin and some small thick nylon type washers. Yea i think ill upgrade the caps to better ones, i used cheapies, and i think i havnt adjusted the pups and poles up far enough. I just read the jb's are very bassy with no mids, they say to adjust the poles accordingly. Thanks again for the advice mate.

ok....heres the bits ive got left over... any ideas anyone??

Its all done. tonight i took the strings off, pulled off the pickguard, upgraded the caps to better ones, removed the nut again, shaved off about 1ml to fix buzzing on low E string, put it all back together again. Upped the hight of the pickups, then lowered the high E pole, upped all the middle poles and lowered the low E pole.
Tuned the strings, set intonation and plugged it in.

WOW, sounds better than my factory strat, the pups are the bees knees. Balanced highs and lows throughout, both tone pots work great now and no drone from lower strings.
