Woks yes I decided to make a ramp to see if it helps with a lighter touch and faster playing. It does but I'll need to raise it a bit higher.

Sounds unreal Simon. Nothing wrong with your playing you are a natural. Takes a while to get used to 6 strings on a bass but top job

How is it tuned? Looked and sounded like Low B to high B or C?

Woks - yes a six string bass feels very unnatural!
Wazkelly - it's tuned to high C
Andrew - yes a little bit of highway star! I love that song. This bass does a good job of mimicking a p bass in the neck position.

I think Roger Glover used a Rickenbacker 4001 in his early days with Deep Purple. You can hear that disctinctive Ric sound on the following youtube link which unfortunately is audio only.
