Segovia probably felt the same about steel string acoustics. He had very blinkered views on music. But within the classical guitar world its likely no one will ever equal him.

Very true, there is a very good reason Segovia is venerated so widely. He was truly a master.

Not so far from the truth Z, when i play classical or gypsy styles on a Nylon string it sounds very much like a beginner.

Fican guitars are just up the road from me, not dropped in on them yet because they really don't fall into my zone of consciousness but they do have some pretty useful players using them.
