Hello From Sunny Melbourne!
Hi All,
Eric here from sunny Melbourne, recently purchased an ST style kit with an Ash body / Maple neck combo.
Ive been playing nearly 25years, owned a few guitars, but never built one.
Spent the last couple of months looking at videos and forums for tips and technique... but nothing beats hands on experience!
I'll start a build thread so you can all get a post by post insight to my epic failures... and hopefully some success!

Welcome, don't stress, the ST is a good place to start, it's mostly common sense and not rushing.

Im not too worried, just taking the pi$$ out of myself more than anything.
The missus is already worried, Im planning a tele or maybe a gretch build next.

The missus has plenty of reason to worry as most of us have not been able to stop at just one build. Might just end up with an incurable dose of GAS like the rest of us on this forum.
Sunny Melbourne? C'mon, it was probably for only 10 minutes or so before the grey clouds came back again at this time of year ha ha.
