Hi all heres some pictures of my 3rd build STA-1M i am about 2 weeks into it this is my progress so far i have filled and primed the body and painted it in white with a lite pearl and cleared it, i have cleared the maple neck i didn't get the stock hardware kit i am going to be using a 2 point wilkinson modern bridge and 2 prong wilkinson machine heads have not decided what pups to use yet as i want a different sound from my other Strat.
I have had a few issues with filling the body as was quite grainy and clearing the maple neck and getting the clear to sit flat on the fingerboard without mounting up on the frets took a fair bit of work but the neck is finished and came up quite nice. I am still waiting for a neck plate and scratch plate screws and some transfer paper to do headstock decal to arrive.
here the primed body all nice and flat had a few issues that needed to be fixed neck was very sloppy in the body
painted body 4 coats of white and 6 coats of clear
neck cleared not polished yet has 4 coats of clear
machine heads fitted to the neck were a real pain to fit
