In a more build related query, how close a match are your New dot markers to the General Lee Orange for the face of the guitar?

But it was fun dude hehe - Here's some pics of my 300C and my Jeep WJ 4.7 - I love V8's! they should make all engines with less than 8 pistons illegal!!

The fret dots I'm not too sure of the orange hey, as they were the only orange ones I could find. If I had to guess I'd say they will be plain old orange but close enough hehe

Have to agree with you on 8 cylinders, the joke in Australia is only milk and orange juice come in 2 litres haha (about 122 cubic inches in your money)

@ Franken all good mate everyone has an opinion on Holdens and Fords. I agree the SLR would look pretty cool with the flared guards minus the bolts

Yes sir I like messing around and so do hillbillies so I guess that's where the flag came from hehe(I'm actually from SA )

The Jeep had(long story of untrustworthy *insert swearing* idiots) a 4" coil lift with stock arms. It had a bucketload of travel man I was pissed when those idiots stole my stuff!!! But now it's back on stock springs but I kept the 31" Cooper muds for playing in the mud at above average(evil laugh) speed

The Jeep has the stock 4.7 V8 which has nice torque low down. You should see the ricers when I step on it as the exhaust is only pipe - I took all the rest out including CATs.

The 300C was(it left with the x lol) the 5.7HEMI, very loud pipes also V8's need to be HEARD bwhahaha!

Spot on! the only time I'll be happy with less than 2litres is when it says Suzuki or VMax

Updates yeah!

Tonite I put some clearcoat over the back of the body so we'll let it rest for a day and she'll start the front soon!
The neck is 80% done - yes the inlays are in! However I decided to rather not risk the fretboard by sanding down the plastic ones I ordered(which are still in china btw) and what I did was to draw up some paint into a syringe and gently blot some paint in the holes. I will just finish it off with some clear glue once they dry.

Any help and advice on what glue would be the best to use? Thanx guys!

Oh yeah I stained the fretboard with ebony gel stain(the darkest I could find) and put sealer over that. I'm unsure if clear lacquer will be a good idea - judging by the fretboards on my Ibanez guitar and Washburn bass, it doesn't look like they were clear coated. Again any advice is more than welcome!

To fill the dots you could use either super glue or epoxy

good stuff Redneck those dot markers look really cool and love the bright orange. I would do a test on some scrap wood with super glue over the orange paint to make sure it dries clear, or some clear epoxy resin as Stan suggested.
With the fingerboard don't clear that, use Dr Ducks Axe wax, Dingowax or a natural oil like orange or lemon oil to seal it.

Thanx guys! I have to say that I'm super excited! I also think the dots stand out super nice with the darkened fret board, it came out much better than I expected

I'll do a test run with super glue tonite and see if I'll need to find some epoxy! Thanx for the help!!
