That's cool Dedman, I have heard lots of things about The Jesus And Mary Chain, but had never heard them untill now, their lead singer sounds a bit like Michael Hutchence, the former lead singer of INXS, or that may just be my imagination.

The Doors did a good cover version of "Who do you love" too:

Bo modified a cut shuffle in 2/4 time and used one chord, similar to Chuck Berry Maybelline, that was written in 1954, that was adapted from a song called Ida Red, it all stems down from Rockabilly.

He may have wrote the song, but he didnt invent the cut shuffle

so today I went bought the timber to make the frame for this, the neck is here, I have the ply for top and back. I have tuners and a stop tail bridge. I also have a Tele switch plate that I may or may not use depending on................pick ups.
Can't make my mind up what to use. I have a Pitbull Tele set, I have a single Pitbull P90 or I could get one of those cheap "loaded" strat pickguards and gut it or a pair of chinese humbuckers. The idea is not to spend too much. If it turns out to be OK I can always replace the pups. Any suggestions?

yeah I reckon that would sound cool Dedman, might as well have 2 pups - P90 bridge and tele neck should give you a good variety of sounds

I think twin P90s or twin Humbuggies (as Gearmandude calls them) would best suit the style of guitar.
    Current:
    GTH-1

    Completed:
    AST-1FB
First Act ME276 (resurrected curb-side find)
    ES-5V
    Scratchie lapsteel
    Custom ST-1 12 String
    JBA-4
    TL-1TB
    Scratch Lapsteel
    Meinl DIY Cajon
    Cigar Box lap steel

    Wishing:
    Baritone

So..I got bored waiting for painters to come and paint the house so, stuff it! I started on this.
All I did today was cut the 4 main frame timbers and mock it up. I've since tidied and glued it. It can sit and set for a couple of days now as I have a shooting match on Saturday and socialising on Sunday . Might work on it again on Monday and do the "center block" stays and try routing the frame so I can inlet the ply top. I don't have a router but I do have a router attachment for my dremel.
