    Thanks Tony & Andy.

About time to introduce everyone to Goldie now that all hardware has been fitted and she is making some sweet noise.

Here are some shots in her natural habitat with a few other 'Goldies' for company.

Haven't looked at the action or intonation yet as only finished wiring and sound checked it a short while ago. Starving as I have been working on 3 guitars all day and about to fire up the BBQ and crack open one or two of those Gold cans. I'll check in with other threads after dinner.

Artificial light makes it look brighter and more golden in colour tones. Will take GOTM shots in natural light later in the week after I have finished action, intonation and final polishing.

Oh, forgot to mention I found an old tub of the wax lurking in a dark corner the other week and it was hard as well.
So I knocked it out of the tub and used it like a surf board wax block, then vigorously rubbed it and found that the friction heat melted it and spread it nicely.. Set nice and hard and buffed up a treat.. Hard yakka though...

    Thank DB.

The Bone Nut & Neck job you did way back last November did the trick as it felt great for the 15 minutes or so that I sound checked it this afternoon. Will leave it to settle for a few days and tweak things a little bit towards end of the week if needed.

Maybe if I was a board rider that might have come to me sooner.

Had 2 pots of the stuff and both were as hard as ....... well, harder than hard stuff. Had to leave it out in the full sun for at least half a day so that it just softened a teeny weeny bit and then go at it like that Disney Tasmanian Devil before it started to solidify again. Talk about hard work.

The rosewood FB on this one was pretty light hence why it looks unfinished whilst the wax did an amazing job on the EX-5 bringing up almost like ebony.
