Ok so I looked everywhere for a hole in the control cavity that goes to the stoptail mount. It was difficult as I had already copper taped. I did find a small hole near the neck vol pot. however it did not go all the way through. As I already had installed the bushings I couldn't drill a hole like in Ads video with the SG.
Instead I drilled a hole from the bridge pup rout to the saddle mount hole. As the PBG bushings are hollow I fed the wire up through the bushing and soldered it on the bottom of the bridge mount then screwed it back in twisting the wire with it. I then fed the other end into the control cavity and soldered it to the pot to earth.
All I can say is it works so far!

Andy thats the fix i was going to do on the 12 string but i ended up having to pull the bushing because the hole was in the rear cavity.
Looking good mate
Thanks guys.
Ok, after playing it for about a week, I'm finally happy with the nut height. had to re-seat it, measure with capo on 3rd, play it, take it off sand it, and repeat till I got there. I've eradicated the hum with the earth to the saddle, which is good as i was worried that when i screwed it in, it would break the solder join.
The intonation was spot on and I did not have to adjust the saddle distance. Its just how it came with the kit. I was surprised, grateful but a little disappointed that i didn't get to test my skillz. that being said I don't like my saddle height, it needs to go down but I'll do that on the final set up.
Couple of things I don't like:
1. Volume. It works fine. Its just not a really high output machine compared to my other LP copy. That being said I've got 10's on the other and 9's on this one. That may be the issue. Both have got Alnico 2's (wilkinsons in the other and Toneriders in this one) and the humbucker height is fine. My best guess is that its the difference in string guage or my soldering efforts are creating resistance?
2. B string It sounds a bit sitarish when acoustic (not amplified). Its not fret buzz, the string's no where near the fret board due to my too high saddle. I've got a DB bone nut in there. I'll check the slot when i de-string but it looks good to me. I think its just a "dead" string? They're not the ernie balls just the PBG strings.
Any way subject to any advice, she's ready to be stripped down and polished. yaaaay.

FINISHED!
Epic build for me and a huge exercise in patience. Five months and 10 days. This was always the guitar I wished i had. So even if the wife doesn't allow me to hang it in the lounge, I still win!
Last touches done. I ended up replacing the PBG bridge with one of these http://www.realparts.com.au/bridges-...idge-gold.html. If anyone doesn't know the measurements fit perfectly in the factory bored post holes and PBG bushings. The bridge is slightly fatter but doesn't buzz as much.
Still trying to get the intonation perfect. Its close. I'll see if I can get a sound check done for you guys.
