I see what you mean Waz. Thats a pretty good idea. I agree, it looks like what has been done on the Gibson. I'll just have to check of the control rout is deep enough for the jack.

@ Wokks and Doc. Those are good ideas guys on plugging the hole, but I'm a little worried about how the stain might take. I was thinking of carving off a bit of the basswood in the control cavity (its quite thick and there's a sticky outy bit there too.)
