Hi All !

She's just arrived ...and some doubts start to rise

I planned to paint it in a flat "Candy Apple Red" finish, but the Ash body is so nicely figured that I think it deserves some see-through stain to keep the wood visible!
Has any of you experienced some semi-transparent Cherry sunburst or Blue finishing on Ash? I think they both create a fine contrast with the creamy maple fretboard.

Following Adam's advice, I checked to have every bit in its place, and I'm enthusiast with the quality of the woods, both for the body and neck!
Also the neck construction is very accurate: it's deadly straight and it will not need much finishing work (there is just one fret which is a bit sharp over the edge of the fretboard).

I will not rush into building either. I think I'll let ideas settle down a bit, studying some alternative solutions for finishing, reading through the Forum and some other source over the net.
Hope to be back in a few days.
