First kit, AG-2 aiming to replicate SG custom Ebony Gloss

Hi All

Meant to be Christmas holiday build but started already, as if it was going to wait till Christmas!
Going ok so far
Hand shaped the "blank" to match SG contours with an angle grinder running an 80 grit sanding disk, pretty exciting how fast the wood comes off! but worked pretty well.
Sanding down the black coat now, a few slightly high bits so another round of primer here and there and top coat again.
Anyone got any ideas on how to do the white strip round the fretboard,

I don't have a a real SG! maybe I should look at one in a shop, I'm guessing it is a white plastic? (or something more exotic) molding, does anyone know?
