Hello folks! With my birthday coming up and the need to lay a bass track on my new album, my lovely wife got me this beauty! It will add to my collection of instruments, but with the added bonus of being built by me (well not entirely - the factory did a great job getting it all ready for me!!). I知 a drummer/guitarist/singer and have dabbled a little in bass, so I知 not a bassist. Saying that, I will give it a good shot at learning once I assemble it. Super excited!

I must be honest, I received it a couple of days ago and have been slowly building it so I will share my progress.

I noticed there is a competition for best build so I thought I would give it a good go.

I have been looking at different peoples builds and got inspired by the creativity and ingenuity I have seen. People are painting the machine heads, changing the nobs, using different colours & finishes, and all sorts of wonderful tricks. These led me to my idea.

Basically, I am making an art piece which also plays music. So for someone who doesn稚 appreciate music, but does appreciate art, will happily be able to enjoy it on their wall. And for someone who has no appreciation for art, but loves to play music, can use it as an instrument. Multi-faceted and nimble. Strong, yet soft. I am loving the process and will share my progress now. Rock on \m/
