I’m having a custom build from a bloke in the States. Watching it taking shape from chunks of wood to a beautiful instrument had inspired me to give it a go. Then reality set in and I realised that you needed some years of experience and a good selection of expensive tools to do the job justice.
I stumbled across the Pit Bull site more or less by accident. Looks to be a good place to start and I like the active forum which suggests I'll be able to get some support when I need it I plan on a kit strat style with Brian’s drop-in (greatly enhanced electronics) pick guard. I’m a huge Grateful Dead fan and this’ll turn a strat into something close to Garcia’s guitar of the mid 70’s.
