It May be their tuning technique Unless you go 7-1 6-2 5-3 4 repeat tuning floating bridges will constantly drift and seem like they are not tunable. I screwed mine down hard and it still drifts slightly. Does it go out of tune when he is playing. and How Hard is he hitting the strings. I used to live near WhittleSea If he can hop on a train to Victoria park He can come to my work after hours and we can put it through its paces.
