Whether or not this joint is actually any good is going to be an interesting question. The misalignment is not severe, and it is intended to be a an inline offset head anyway, a la Jackson/Ibanez so I think it is probably worth the time to try and work it through to its final form just to see how it turns out.
If I string it up on something and it blows apart under tension, then so be it. But along the way it can be useful as an experiment in fretting and also inlay and neck finishing, so why not?
Next exercise is going to be routing the truss rod channel, and getting it roughed out.
