Yeah the springs will cover fair bit of the logo so don't make the logo a priority, I put 2 x 4Dlogos on the clear strat cover axe and springs cover a fair bit unless the sprngs are in the centre 3 lugs and put teh logo on the outside or in the gap if 2 are outside lugs are used
    Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

I'm hearing ya man. I quite like those little touches that aren't always in plain sight anyway. It just shows a bit more attention to detail.

So that's the dirty great earth hole doweled, filled and sanded. You can really see the extent of the damage and chipping caused when it was drilled.
Got the veneer cut and all in all it's a pretty nice fit. The veneer's only just sitting in the top of the cavity in the pic as I'm not keen on pushing it all the way home until I'm ready to glue, I don't think I'd be able to get it out again without ruining it.
I'll get a vinyl cut this arvo and etch a logo into it, should look cool hopefully.

Flamed veneer for the inside of the spring cavity. Now that's how you overdo it.

Hey Barge, you are now adding the icing to the already perfect cake so to speak! Its all these little details that give this axe a lot of depth. A true thing of beauty. The more you look, the more there is to see!
