How good did that lettering turn out!! Fricken stoked about that. I can't believe I wasted all this time trying to bury waterslides and vinyls, cheers Anyport if you're out there;-)

Yeah all paint Stan, I just used the vinyl decal as a stencil. It should cut the clear coats in half I reckon.

that headstock looks awesome with the lettering Barge, you don't muck around, he's had the kit about 24 hours and its moving along very quickly. Look forward to seeing the body when the flame maple arrives !
@ Stan I think he had the white coat on the headstock and used Andys lettering to block out the black coat like a stencil, then maybe peeled off the lettering stencil I presume. Ah Barge beat me to it
    Results are spectacular
It will be a while before I start my ST-1M Barge, got a few other builds I should finish off before.
Barge I'm pretty sure the early ST models aways had a tummy and elbow cut. Some builders have exaggerated these think Robin may have to make them even deeper. My early models certainly have and don't think many forumites have build as many ST's as I have !

Hehe, ya gotta remember Wokks it was last November since my last build, I've got a lot of pent up frustration to relieve:-)
Hopefully I can get a few more tools this year and really get serious about the guitars, if I had the cash I'd be building them full-time right now but unfortunately shit don't work like that:-(

EDIT: That's what it must have been Wokks, guys just exaggerating the cuts. For some reason I thought they were doing them from scratch.

yeah good stuff Barge, get a few tools that will enable you to build a scratchy. There is nothing more satisfying. Now you got the mancave with space you just got to save some coin for the new toys !

Yeah that's it! In all reality I just need a good band saw and some templates and I'd be laughing, I'd just use PBG necks for now. We'll get there.

Never even thought of that - great idea.

We need a new category: PBG awesome headstock award...

Get onto pablopepper, Craig, for templates - he is the man, and good prices, brilliant service, can do anything. He just has to fit them around other work, still quick though

Funny you say that Stan, I was actually chatting with him the other day about that very topic, he mentioned he'd made you some up.
He does a wicked job alright.

Speaking of hacking off wood, there goes a bit more...
