What I've been working on - Scratchie Lapsteel

This has been progressing very slowly, but now that I'm between jobs, I will hopefully be able to use some of that time to get a move on with it.

Learning that I need lots of practice with routers, drill presses and other power tools.

Interesting project and wish you lots of luck with finishing it off.

Looks like a humbucker will be installed?

Nice !, I'll be watching this thread with interest.

I found the router made me the most nervous with many beers needed for a calming effect...

Lapsteels are great fun and opened up a whole new worlrd of various Tunings for me.

What scale did you go for?

Doesn't look too far off. Can't you move the saddles any further forwards to get the 12th fret harmonic and marker to match?

What means this fret marker thing on a steel they are only notional indicators of where the bar should be.

The bar should be nearby and sending the band a constant stream of liquid refreshment!

Mere details! There is no rule that says you have to have a dot on the 15th fret!

I've stripped the Bill Lawrence humbucker and the Wilkinson tuners from my previous lapsteel. Its been a great learning experience so far.
