Hi Wazkelly, I was in a very bold mood this afternoon and I just used a little of the bright red fountain ink and I must admit, it lifted the color a little.

But I think I have reached the point I must stop with coloring and let it dry for a couple of days. There will be some small issues I think but I see those as being part of a learning process.

Next weekend I will start with removing the maskingtape and see what and where the ink went through. See how to approach that and I'll problably need some good work on the binding. So lots of thing to do

Ok, last picture. As said I've decided to stop the coloring since I'm very happy how she's looking

As you can also see is that the glue spots are almost gone. I just leave it for as it is. Again, lessons learned

Now might be the time to get a can of black spray paint and just go round the edges to get a solid black to hide the remaining glue lines. Spray from the inside of the guitar to the edge , never from the edge to the inside, so that you can start spraying high then just bring it down until the edge of the spray just touches the edge of the guitar, then move it along the edge at that angle. It often helps if you can rotate the guitar when doing this rather then move yourself. Putting it on a piece of cardboard (a bit smaller than the guitar) and putting that on another larger piece of cardboard can work well as a makeshift turntable.

I'd still try looking for some glue or adhesive remover as that centre line could look better than it does. In the UK I can get Goof Off, Goo Gone and Evo Stick adhesive removers (and I think Sticky Stuff Remover would probably work as well). It's just a question of using the right search phrase.

The red and burst look great I agree with Simon, if you can just get rid f the last of the glue it will look even better

    Thanks for all the compliments!

Ok ok, I'll see if I can do something about the rest of the glue spots.

About that spraying; that is a no-go for me. First, I can't do it indoor because of several reasons and here where I live (I live on a ship near open water) it is always to windy. Second, I have tried to use a spraycan once at that ended up in a major disaster and I really don't want to ruin my beautiful top.

But I'll do my best to find some glue remover stuff!
