    Agreed. Plan at this time is to have it the natural colour with a tortoise shell pickguard to go with my G&L Strat, which is swamp ash:

    I feel its a cautionary tale in places. Love the grain finish on that G&L!

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Thanks guys! When I got it I was in the store looking for a Tele, but, once I saw that guitar I couldn't leave without it. Plays pretty well too, which, is a bonus.

    is that little switch to coil split the humbucker Bobby?

    Indeed it is. It was a selling point at the time, but, I don't really use it that much. Most used setting is Bridge not split, then neck, then neck & middle. That's about it.

    Wow bobby this is going to be one fine guitar! the JRs are really, really nice to play and with a DB neck coming yours will be even more so! Looking forward to seeing how the finishing goes.

    Thanks for the encouragement. That 335 of yours is one of the most beautiful guitars I've seen. If this kit goes well I'm hoping to do a 335 kit with Coolangatta gold stain on top and natural for sides and back.

    Hahaha, yeah. There are tonnes of guitars I've always wanted, but, couldn't afford. If the kit goes well I now have a way to get them. I still want a 335, SG, explorer and tele :P
