can't wait to hear the pedal once it's built Doc, if I like it I'll have a crack at building one

No worries, I did manage to get all the parts I needed to build the pedal, I'm going to be documenting the build in my FX Pedal thread, with pics so you can see how I built it, I'll also post a list of the parts with the Jaycar Cat. numbers next to them so you can find them easily in your local Jaycar Electronics shop.

I have to say that I'm a bit of a Hendrix fan, at one stage I had all of his first three albums on CD, and a few years ago I bought a copy of his most recent posthumous album, Valleys Of Neptune, it contains some re-workings of his best known songs.

For some strange reason, I find that Jimi Hendrix's music is really good to listen to if you want something to listen to while chilling out at home, I guess it's partly the Blues and 60's Psychedelia influences in his music that helps.

I must learn how to play it all the way through, I can manage the first few notes up to when Hendrix does that big string bend.

That just shows how humble Jimi Hendrix was, I watched a youtube video of him being interviewed on the Dick Cavett show, Dick Cavett asked him a question about being the best guitarist in the world, and Hendrix got all embarassed and said "How about the best guitarist sitting in this seat?", I think that sums it up.
