    Colin's JM-1L Build

Finally getting around to this one.
Out of the box it looks pretty good. Very few machine marks and nice grain in the basswood body.
Neck also looks really good and is already very smooth.
    Sanding first.

Are the threads the same size and pitch, so that you can use them in either of the supplies post hole inserts?

Odd. I have the same bridge that Simon pictured in my JMA-1 kit, but didn't notice any difference in the posts when I dummied up. I will go out to the shed and check in a little while. I guess that style isn't available for south paws?

Just checked my kit and both the posts are the same - they look like the one on the left hand side in your pic. So I guess unless there is something special with the bridge you have, one of them is wrong.

My bridge is exactly like yours only for a lefty.
Now I just need to get two identical posts.
Oh good - In your first mockup picture it looks like a normal strat style one.

It does. Probably if they had been both the same of either type there wouldn't be a problem.

One string tree or two? Usually around the g string tuner is good, but I don't think it really matters all that much,

    Pickup height: see video
