Awesome, what's the stain you're applying?
Current build and status
First build = JB4 (Complete)http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...ead.php?t=6692
Second Build = Non PBG SG (Complete) http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...ead.php?t=6827
Third Build = Impatiently deciding
The stain on the back is by Cabots its called Japanese Black and its an interior stain, it looks brown in certain light and black in other and gets darker the more you apply. The black for the logo and design is Automotive acrylic which I get through a local supplier and the clear is just an oilbased clear varnish.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
That's awesome! Love the idea!!
I'm a little concerned about your finish around the edges, it's like you didn't go all the way to the edge, or is that perhaps some glue marks?

That looks outstanding. Great way to spice up a spalted maple top without detracting from the figuring. And to do it all with masking is very impressive. You must have far steadier hands than I do.![]()
