    Mmmm, anyone for Coffee?

Felt bad about hijacking a newcomer’s thread over the past few days where he asked about using coffee as a stain. I think the consensus of opinion was that it would work, even if using decaf and that got me thinking about what people reckon is the best coffee?

I prefer to drink it but have tasted many ones that were more worthy of being used as a stain instead. This is what I use when making my own drop of coffee and if using instant The Green one does taste better than Moccona and costs about the same plus supposed to be better for you too.

For you folk in Perth or South West WA if you haven’t been to Yahava give yourself an uppercut as they have the best coffee I have tasted anywhere in this country and you are seriously missing out on some home grown goodness operating in your own backyard.

Interested to see what others reckon is their favourite coffee?

After seeing a doco on how a lot of instant coffee is made I have refused to drink the stuff ever since...
Here in Perth we have a great coffee roasting company called Brasiliano.
I am enjoying a double shot espresso as I write this.

Happy for you to enlighten us who may not have seen that documentary.

I am aware of some expensive coffee beans that have been retrieved from animal excrement and not keen to sample any of that as I presume it will just taste like s#$t!

Ah the infamous Kopi Luwak coffee.... the coffee cherry is eaten by a Civet and then umm......deposited.
The workers collect these recycled beans and off they go to cleaning. One hopes.

I know they have oppressive drug laws in that country but I wonder what the dude was on when he decided you could make coffee out of the chunky bits in civet sh1t

The inner west of Sydney has great coffee, unfortunately it is also overrun with "Coffee Culture" which has seemingly become more important than the actual coffee. I don't care if the Flat white or long black I ordered is single origin Guatemalan rainforest friendly picked by natives and roasted by descendants of Mayans (who happily now live in Annadale?!?!) why does it take 14 minutes to make?

Campos, no fuss good coffee, fewer variations on OTT marketing doublespeak.

Yeah, whats with this whole "deconstructed" coffee thing?
If I am paying $6 for a cup of coffee, I want it to arrive in one cup not coffee in one cup, milk in another pretty little jug.
Next thing is they will expect the customer to pick the beans, roast em, grind em and make a cuppa themselves and charge $20....

Yes, we appear to have reached Peak Pretentious Wonk in many parts of the country. Sydney and Melbourne especially so.

can't drink instant coffee out of a jar... I actually but a pretty good take away from the concourse of Flinders St Station in Melb...

nespresso pod machine at home - some say it isn't real coffee, but tastes fine and gives very consistent results
