Whilst the IB-7 wiring diagram is electrically correct, practically it's a nightmare as the selector switch and the volume pot are in separate small control cavities some distance apart.

Can I suggest the wiring diagram gets modified along the lines I've shown below, so that the pickup grounds/braid wires get connected to the selector switch ground terminal, which saves people having to extend the braid wires so the grounds can run back to the volume pot cavity?



I'd also add a note to say to keep the exposed braid wire length very short (or use heat shrink on it) to avoid the risk of grounding a signal connection.
