Are you referring to Dedmans guitar or the Fender Mustang style kit. I knew the DM1S was a Dedman inspired product. But OP is talking about the DMS1 which is this one:

I guess the 'D' stands for 'Duo-Sonic'?
...the 'M' stands for 'Mustang'?
Maybe the DM should be re-named 'Dedman'?
