Thread: Tindrrel's ST-1

Is the FW likely to play nice with a Wudtone top coat? Pretty sure I want to do a semi-burst with the black edges just peeking round to the front.

    Something like:

So the next thing. I have a maple pick guard that I'm thinking of either staining Amber like the body or something drastically different or maybe leaving white(ish).

The decision to make is should that get a clear coat top coat as well or just a stain. Are there pros and cons or always dones for something like that?

Its a case of what looks right to you, Sam.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Shaped the headstock, stained with dingotone neck stain, applied the decal; and now coating with the dingotone neck final coat.

So I stained the maple pickguard with Cherry Flamenco Wudtone. Topped it with the satin finish.

Just finished migrating the electronics from the kit supplied pickguard.
