hey Ron the build so far looks way cool.
Looks like the P90 and wrap around bridge from the JR-1 and lipstick tele neck pup.
Neck looks like a PBG maybe bolt on SG neck. Grain in the rosewood looks choice

EDIT I wasn't far off with the neck guess, I should have known it was from the JR-1 kit !

nice one Ron, so the humbucker in the neck and P90 bridge should sound cool

looks like the footprint of the box will be big enough

love a CBG, you got me scratching my head to build one now mate !

Thanks Ron. I have some spare Fijian mahogany I recently purchased for another body and that is too small for another body but may just fit a LP JR. I may just get a spare neck like that.

Had a really productive day today on this. One of those days where you start at 10.30 and suddenly wonder why it's getting dark and find its after 5pm.
Needless to say was so intensely consumed I didn't take a single picture. :P

Basically I built a ladder kind of affair inside the frame in the previous posts .Made from the same timber as the outer frame it has cross bars with cutaways where the bridge and pick ups mount and at the back of the neck. I put the front ply on first which still allowed me to use a jigsaw to cut out the pick up holes. I had one major set back. I had intended to use my dremel to route out a recess for the ply top and bottom to sit in. However the genuine Dremel brand router accessory was completely craptastic and flexed so much as to be useless. So the ply just got bradded and glued on top. Anyway I smothered it in timbermate after a quick sand, will work on the neck tomorrow.

so I brush painted the guitar this morning with basic indoor mat black paint that was watered down a bit. I'll do a coat of satin or flat spray can clear over this once the decals are on.

So... I was doing a mock build and remembered I have these "port holes" of a early 50's Buick that just happen to be the same size as the resonator grills I was going to use....so
Which ones, the Buick portholes and which way should I face them Hole to the front or slots to the front? I'm leaning toward slots to the front atm

    or the grills
