got a bit more done on the LP, I call it the tiger now. Neck fret levelled, it was already pretty level so that was easy. Neck glued, switch wires soldered and tonerider generator pups fitted. Hopefully will finish the wiring today. Got 2 push pull pots to coil split so thats going to be fun to wire up but good experience

hey Barge, yes the LP-1M are mahogany body and neck. They are the 2nd best LP kit available I think. The spalty model takes the gold medal

Man I swear they never used to be, the very first build I did was a LP-1M and I'm sure that had a maple neck.

yer ok Barge they must have changed to mahogany at some stage. Would have been obvious the maple is a much lighter colour

Yeah that's awesome, too bad they weren't around when I was doing the Blacktop. It's the only reason I used a spalt kit is because they had a hog neck.

Hey Maxy, that's where he keeps all his little guitar building worker elves , how else do you think he builds 50 guitars at one time

haha nice one Barge, sometimes think I could use 50 elves to help out.
That little door is the wood storage area below the pizza oven.
Got the wiring done but got no sound from the bridge pup so there must be a short somewhere. Strung it up and played through the neck pup and the tonerider generators sound good. The coil split worked well.
So all is left is diagnose the bridge pup wiring, covers on and should be ready to enter GOTM
