Oh that's on the cards, but only after the wine racks get built for the cellar (Hence the need for a table saw and a drill press).
The cellar has two rooms side by side that would be ideal for said purposes.

wow sounds like a mega setup in the making Frankie, a workshop with home brew room, wine cellar, great stuff buddy.
How clever are you telling the minister you need a table saw and drill press to build the wine racks hahah

The minister is okay with these things, as they will generate said wine racks, cabinetry for storage of shoes and sewing projects, wooden teaching aids for her kids at school, playthings for young miss at home.

As well as the above there will be the odd (many, many) excellent (not completely crap) component parts (complete scratch builds) for one or two (as many as I can hide) kit electric guitar projects (I have ambitions/delusions of attempting a couple of acoustics) to keep me busy (out of the pub...Wait WHAT?!, oh that's right, beer fridges, wine cellar, homebrew).

All in all its a win/win equation (I will gleefully build as many MDF kiddies puppet theatres as the never-ending horde of ungrateful, destructive, unappreciative, spoiled and over indulged, diaper clad stinky little terrorists you have to work with/tend/tame/incarcerate/refrain from strangling, can destroy if it means I can buy a 12" cabinet saw for my workshop).

I shall keep you all posted on progress!

So drying and waiting, drying and waiting.
I am up to 3 stain coats and just waiting on an extra stain coat on the neck to dry, so that we can assess and then start on the intensifier coats.

Pics when i can get my technology to work for me.

Not much progress, first intensifier coat went on 2 days ago, have had to touch up a couple of areas with steel wool. Not ideal weather for it so I am going to leave it a few days before doing anything more.

Unfortunately having this drying precludes being able to sand anything else. I think I may have to make some workshop space adjustments.

Hi Frankie, slow progress but looks like things are back on track and heading in the right direction.

Do you have plans to add a little silver fern somewhere as from memory I think I picked up that you are an All Blacks Supporter?

Ha ha! No no silver fern, there's no need to pour salt in those wounds for my Australian friends.

The Wallabies are a disgrace at present. Thank God we are better at playing Rugby League but you Kiwis are pretty damn good at that too.

I feel that people are forgetting history, there was a period in the late 90s, early 00s where the Wallabies were just as unbeatable.
They will come good, and you can see the signs starting to build now, they just have to get some consistency.
Like it or not, world rugby needs them and SA strong else no one has any hope against the ABs and the Euro Clubs will take primacy, and all the best players then international rugby will die.
