So, I'm new around here and have never ordered from pitbull before.
I was just wondering, the option for "I don't need the hardware", does that just take away the tuners and bridge? Or are the pickups and electronics also considered hardware?
Depending on the kit, there are various options. On some, there is the option to not have the hardware (which includes the potentiometers and output jack etc.) and also an option not to have the pickups, which is the pickups themselves, nothing else (in case you want to upgrade just the pickups). To get just the guitar and neck, then you have to say no to both.
Others have a generic 'no hardware' option, which will also include no pickups, so just body and neck.
And some kits will always come with the hardware and pickups, so there's no option not to have them.
If you're unsure what you might find useful, then it's probably best to just keep the hardware and pickup options. You can then make use of some of the very good upgrade offers that Pitbull have on good tuners and alternative pickups.
If in doubt on a particular kit, then drop Adam an email and he'll explain the options. adamboyle@pitbullguitars.com
