    Guitar pencil stand!

Here's a little something I made last weekend... I've got a thing about pencils so decided to make a guitar influenced pencil stand and here's what I came up with! They are pretty rough - and while I know that using an F logo is frowned upon, I did like the idea of making it seems like I'd chopped the headstocks off a couple of real guitars to make this. In another thread I mentioned I had a bit of left/right mix-up, and this is another. I made three of these and the plan was for the lower "plate" to only be drilled half way through for the support post to sit in. What I only realised after I drilled them all was that I'd drilled them as left handers. Ah well!

awesome Chuck, I love anything made out of guitar parts, think you have given forumites a cool idea. I might make one out of pine and make it about 40mm thick. Bet a few people have commented about how cool it looks !

Excellent. If you do a Gibson one, it it must be done with the authentic separation method.

Ah, The Townsend method Headstock adjustment, nice. Its right up there with the Hendrix finish blacking process.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

Do they still sell lighter fluid these days as that was 48 years ago when he lit up the stage?

They do (over here at least). Great for wiping down guitar bodies to get rid of grease.
