    humbuckers

I have an LP. The 2 humbuckers are both black and smooth. One is thicker than the other. The thicker one has a black wire and the thinner a red wire. Which one is the neck pickup? and which way around do they go.

Hi Richard, welcome to the forum. Presume this is a spalted maple LP kit ?
The wire colours seem to change so generally the pup with the longest wire is your neck pup and shorter wire will be the bridge pup. The pickups should be the same size so I assume you are talking about thickness of the pup surround, the thicker surround should be the bridge pup and thinner surround in neck position. Orientation usually the wire should face the control cavity side.
Also thinnest edge of the surround faces the nut/neck end and thickest edge toward the bridge. Hope that helps !

I had a similar question when doing my dry build when I first got the kit.
It should look like this when put together.
    Acoustics:
    1995 Maton EM725C - Solid 'A' Spruce Top, QLD Walnut B&S, AP5 Pickup
