    RC-1 Trapeze Tailpiece

Good day. Just received my first kit from Pitbull guitars earlier this week. Now, my question is how do I smoothen out the step down where the trapeze tailpiece sits. It's the small step down behind the bridge. I've noticed on other Rickenbackers that the step down is a smooth slope.

Is this something that I should just leave out and apply my choice of finish or do I need to file/sand in able to smoothen it? If so, are there any tips on how to do so?

    Thanks

    Hi Mvl.motril,
I did a quick search, and I found one of the guys on here (GavinTurner) built an RC-1, looks like he left the step there

    Here's his build...

    Hi mvl.motril

Welcome to the forum. The kits we supply are all 'based' on the popular brands but for copy protection cannot be the same. Hence the subtle differences you will find.

We hope you really enjoy putting your guitar together.
