    TL first build,

I wanted to build a Tele style guitar as a base to hot-rod :-)
I pick a 67 headstock shape from the shapes on the inter-web, it fitted the paddle pop with the least modifications .

The headstock is cut and the neck has a few coats of Tung oil.
You have to wait 24 hours in between coats so it's an exercise in patients.

Yep, Woka the clear is going on and then I will sand and polish it.
I'm a beginner at this and it's been great fun.
    But it's a continuous learning process ;-)
Cutting the headstock was a buttock clenching moment, I was really pleased with the results.
I have some mods in mind, I've got some Gotoh machine heads and afive way switch.
I'm thinking about a Joe Barden bridge next.

upgrades sound good Bruce. For a beginner you are doing very well !
Funny thing you never stop learning when building guitars/basses.
Be interested to hear what the 5 way switch settings will be.

I was thinking of using the switch to have
    1. Front
    2. Back
    3. Both in parallel
    4. Both in serial
    5. A cocked Wah setting

Wokks, the cocked wah/eldred mod/single cap esquire are all essentially the same thing, using a small value cap to trim off some highs instead of the cap/resistor config of an Esquire. Using a 5-way keeps it all on one switch, whereas I used mini-switches etc in that Tele/Esquire wiring thread (here and here).
