Decided for my first build to go a little on the less complicated side of things. This has the single P-90 and a bolt on neck.
Due to the craziness in the world, it took two months to get here ( arrived 2 weeks ago ), then I've been so busy with my day job and my side business I'm just getting round to working on it.
Mocked it up and everything seemed to line up and fit pretty good right out of the box. I have a couple of luthier friends that will help me out as I go if I need it. Hit the body and neck with Timber Mate today.
Thinking the back of the body and neck I'll do an ebony stain, and Black Cherry on the top of the body and face of the headstock. ( The attached picture shows Black Cherry on white fir ). The maple veneer has some light flaming in it so I hope it will come through nicely. Plan on finishing it with Tru Oil.
