Feast Watson Scandinavian Oil finish on Guitar body

A quick question when using a Scandinavian Oil on a guitar body, do you need to provide any other sealing coat? Or do you simply polish as per the instruction manual, when you think you have provided enough coats?

    Hi John
I did this kit with scandinavian oil.

I didn't use any sealer on it, just layered on multiple coats.
It tend to eventually reach more of a satin finish rather than gloss, that's the nature of the oil. I polished it with furniture polish when I finished.
My approach was to keep layering on the oil and after every 5 coats use some wet and dry with oil on it to gently smooth the surface. The body had many more coats than the neck. Neck had about 6 coats from memory.
Hope that is of some assistance.
