    Es1 Es-333 style build

After tinkering with my guitars for a number of years I’ve decided to take the plunge and build something up from a kit. Will be a nod to the ES-333 Tom Delonge signature while also being different and to my own taste.

After checking that the neck angle was all good for the bridge I set the neck in place and started some modifications. Starting with glueing in the tightest grain meranti I could find under the bench at work haha. And some good old timber mate

    Hi and welcome.

I hope the mods are going well.

As you are using ImageShack (I do as well), you can post large-sized pictures directly on the forum page rather than thumbnails.

In ImageShack, pick a picture to post then select the 'GET LINKS/IMAGE SIZES' on the right of the page.

I select the type as 'forum' and normally select the size as 800 x600. Copy and paste the link provided and you're there.

I normally then edit the link to delete the URL bits in brackets, leaving just the IMG stuff in brackets, which stops someone clicking on the image being directed to your ImageShack page.

Thanks Simon, it is going well so far! Will do an update some time soon. I’m
Unsure as to what to do about the images to be truthfull. I didn’t realise at the time
That it was a paid feature after trial. Any suggestions on what image hosting is free to use?

After spraying 3 coats of acrylic lacquer primer filller I sanded back nice and smooth with 400 dry and still had a little bit of grain showing, not a lot so I knocked it back more so only the lows had primer filler and went ahead and shot 3 more coats. after rubbing back again with 400 dry it’s looking pretty good with a wipe from a damp cloth to clean it up. The area of the filled in neck pickup cavity looks pretty good a little square compared to the area around it but it is an odd shape to perfect and there will be a tenon cover in the area so I’m going to call that ready for some acrylic laquer base coat. I am leaning towards Pelham blue for this one. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/7290/fdTm2g.jpg

Have some base colour on. The Pelham blue plan has given way to a 3 layer pearl. Will be blue ghost pearl over white [URL=https://imageshack.com/i/pmDWXBz5j][/
