Hi all,

Greetings from an Irishman in Hong Kong!

Just got my GTL-1 kit delivered at the weekend and it looks great. It'll be my first build and I'm pretty excited about it.
The body is 2-piece solid ash, nicely joined. Not too strong a grain pattern on the front but it's not bad. The neck is plain maple but it does have a little figuring.

I've been scouring this forum, most other forums, youtube, everything I can find for tips and ideas, and I think I've a reasonable picture of what I want to finish with and how to get there.

I've really enjoyed all the tips and advice from people on this forum while I've been researching. I'll be putting up a build log to hopefully contribute something as well.
