HELLO ! From another side of the world !

I'm from Denmark, played in local bands in the 1970 and 1980's.
After plus 25 years without playin', I suddenly began missing it again. Just bought a cheap starter set with a tele-copy and amp, and now I've fallen in love with the idea of building guitars and basses, and think PitBull will be my choice.

It's a long way from Australia to Denmark, so it will take some time before I can show my projects here, and first I have to consider which kits to order. I seems it would be a good idea to order 3 or 4 kits, because of the shipping prices and delivery time.

The picture is from one of my last gigs, in 1991.
Looking forward to follow the forum here, - and get started with building some of my dream guitars

Welcome, shipping is surprisingly quick to Europe. Customs can take a while though. Have fun.

But you do get a discount shipping rate with multiple kits. Shipping to Europe normally takes only 5-6 days, the rest depends on how quickly the kits clear customs.

Hi, and welcome back from the dark side. That looks like a well used Strat in the picture. Playing is fun!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone !

Yes, that was an old an well-used strat, Simon Barden . I should have kept it for today, but got tired of dark rehearsal-rooms, and swapped it for a motorbike ...

Vauw, only 5-6 days, - I read it could be months. Then I think I'll have to try some costum orders soon.

Here's another pic from "old days" in rehearsal rooms.
Allready in the '70s I was experimenting with guitars, guitar-sound, electronics, pedalboards etc..
Here's my first guitar, a japanese Greco SG, - born with the traditional two humbuckers and Bigsby vibrato, - but here modified with my favorite mid-seventies Pickups, a Gibson LE P90 at neck, a DiMarzio Dual sound mid, and DiMarzio Super Distortion at bridge. - And a 80's vibrato-system, I no longer remember the brand...

It's the custom orders that take several months, normally 3-4 months, sometimes longer depending on the shipping (all by container ship from China to Australia, and they can be delayed by bad weather and miss connections) and whether the factory has to shut down for a week or more to ease pollution levels. Standard kits that are in stock come by air from Australia, so are nice and quick to arrive.

And the trem on the SG looks like a Kahler trem to me. I had one on a superstrat made by Chandler Guitars in Kew, London (now no longer going).
