    Newbie - IB-1

    Greetings from the US:

I just purchased the IB-1 kit, and would like to install a Strat type output jack. Anyone have any details on modifying the output jack rout to accommodate the Strat jack?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I took apart my 67' Strat and measured the opening. Like Adam said, it is doable. At the sake of asking again, anyone done this?

    Quick update, and new problem.

I managed to route out the body and fit the strat jack, only problem is I managed to put I shallow groove about 3/4" long on the surface due to a slip of the hand.

I would like to die the body and am concerned with filling the groove. I am thinking of mixing a small amount of glue with the sanding dust I've collected. Any ideas on a more suitable fix?

Probably better to use Timbermate, but if possible it would be better to sand out the groove (if it is only .5- 1mm deep)

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
