Best source for cheap Maple Flame/curly veener for Finish Testing

    As the topic describes.
Who, what and where, are the best sources to get Flame and Curly maple veneer suitable for testing different finish effects......I only need thin veneer...for testing purposing only....I'm looking for a cheap Aus source....I'm not wanting the 6mm thick Maple tops

Be they Stains , Dyes, or other Water colour based mediums, or a mix

To get a good cross section of the pro's and Con's of each Dye/Stain type.....plus the level of reapplication wanted/needed as a comparison.....It can't be done on one piece of veneer.....it need multiples.

I would like to have a reference on one piece of Maple veneer what effects can be done with 1/2/3 single coats of Dingotone, then the same after applying the appropriate Intensifying coat.

[I Have done Product Photography... colour matching is a "MUST" ]

I Still run the same sort of quality controls, regarding this as standard practise with taking every day photos.

I ran across this site in my search for cheap figured veneer.

Anybody here deal with them before?

Yes, that site is owned by the Hancock family. Dad and two sons who are all luthiers and who make some of the nicest looking classical guitars in Aus. I know all three of them, in fact Dane and Sean got me started in Lutherie. They have great integrity and you can feel comfortable dealing with them.
