    Nice Rick Bass Copy

    Saw this and thought what a beautiful flame on the Bass

    wow stunning looking bass KB, looks like the fingerboard, pickguard and even control knobs are made of the same flame maple
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    There is no such thing as too much Flame Maple!

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    yeah i figured i was committing blasphemy round these parts with such a suggestion. can i redeem myself by saying i think it would look better with a darker shade of flame maple for the trimmings? just not into the all one colourness, i like a bit of contrast

    fair enough Ben,
    maybe the pickguard could be stained a bit darker for a contrast

    I agree with Ben - needs contrast. Just wish I could get flame tops on my builds...

    Ben if it was me I'd of put a scratchplate of a different colour on it just to make the flames pop even more .Other than that love it
