Hey fellow Pit Bullers,
can any one tell me the radius on the TLA STA and SV-1 and a LP please.
I'm going to buy some radius sand blocks and need to know if there's a standard pitbull use or if they vary. :?

12 " The Stewmac ones work beautifully!
Gavmeister
Thanks Gav , there the ones I was looking at.
To date, all Pit Bull necks are 12", so one block should do all of your PB guitars!

Excellent thanks guy's
The only exception I've seen in the PBG range is the IB-6S bass varies from 12 foot to about 8 or 9 foot, so glad I took my neck to DB for a fret level. Plus the neck would be too wide for a standard SM sanding block. Keep this in mind anyone lucky enough to build one of these beasts !

I know exactly what you mean Wokka. I was unsure what the radius was when I removed the frets from my IB-6S, so I cheated. I kept the cut offs from the veneer that went into the slots (which had the curve of the fingerboard in them) and then took them to a cabinetmaker mate who then longitudinally cut that curve into a bit of KD pine. After is was smoothened I checked the fit and it was so, so close that it made a perfect sanding block. Sad part was that it snapped, but not until after I had finished the fingerboard. Gotta be lucky some times.
Stewmac.com stock these handy Fretboard gauges, I've found them useful for two purposes, determining the Fretboard Radius of necks (each side is ground to a different Radius), and also for setting the individual string heights on a guitar (once you have the two E-String heights set, the rest is a breeze):![]()
does anyone have any hot tipoffs for where i could obtain an equivalent 12" radius sanding block for cheaper than stewmac in straya?
