Thread: Butterscotch type rub in dye or lacquer

  1. #1
    Hey lads an ladies,

My first kit is en route (st1 ash) and I'm thinking about trans butterscotch with black pick guard (original I know).

Any suggestions/recommendations of brands etc to achieve the butterscotch look ala K.Richards/the boss's teles? I'd also like to get a butter burst effect if possible with a more solid covering on the outside and trans in the middle however maintain the tint. Can this be achieved using the rubbing in technique?

    Cheers

It's all good. I Think I might just go el-natural for the first one. Tru-oil.

Found the colour I want and will keep it for a tele project later down the line.

    Thanks for the reply mate.
