Thread: a "blank" blank?

    a "blank" blank?

Would it be an idea to provide a body blank that has only the neck socket pre-routed... so that "we" can shape it to our own design?

For example - a Telecaster kit as it is now - but with an option for the body to come as a square blank ....

Lets people who are so inclined to be a bit more "creative"?

That has sometimes been possible. You may want to ask Tim about it. I know he has been a bit swamped since taking over, but you might want to send him an email about a custom order. Either, as you said, for a kit that is "normal" but without pickup routes, or for a custom routed body.

The "catch" I. The old days was that you might have a long wait, since it would not be sent to you until whenever the next resupply order came to PB from abroad.

That said, I special ordered what has become my favorite bass neck of all time. I prefer a jazz bass nut width, but all PB bass necks are P-bass width. To my great joy, PB was able to custom order a J-bass nut width. Never hurts to ask ;-)

    Hi Fender,

Yes he (Tim) was quite understanding with my 'strange" request.... I was thinking of a set "line"or option though (keeping in mind that it seems he has to hold quite a bit in stock, which'd be a lot of cash held up).

Still learning about things though - has he only just taken Pitbull over?

Let's hope it goes well for him.

It hasn't been long since he took over. He has some very creative ideas, though. It never hurts to ask. I think he has carried over from the previous owner a great responsiveness to his customers.
