Hi folks, a customer is having issues with wiring the HB-4 pickups (that's the violin style bass kit)
Has anyone wired one recently and could offer some advice

The wiring diagram is here: https://www.pitbullguitars.com/wp-co...f/PBG-HB-4.pdf
Though there are a couple more ways that it could be wired. The ground connections from the pickups don't have to be taken to the same place as the Pit Bull wiring diagram shows. There's a ground bus that's run around the PCB to pads by the pickup input pads, so it's a lot easier to solder to those as I've shown below.
I don't know whether the pickup wire colours have changed but I've shown both hot/signal wires as white.
There are also unsoldered switch connections which I've highlighted with red circles. I know they come form the factory like this but it really is penny-pinching (cent pinching?) not to have these soldered. It provides a lot more mechanical support for the switches and reduces the stress on the signal carrying joints when the switches are used. The PCB has the solder pads there to be used, so why not use them? Anyway, I suggest the builder solders these up, and re-does the poor solder connections on the other switch contacts visible in the picture linked to by Adam. That really is poor quality soldering where only half the pad has solder on it.

I made an HB4 a while back and had no problems with the wiring using the PB wiring diagram as Simon suggested. Maybe I was the lucky one!
